Description
A shipping container pool gives you a ready-made swimming pool in the footprint of a 20ft shipping container – roughly 6m x 2.4m. It’s built off site and delivered ready to set in place, so you skip months of excavation and concreting.
It’s one of the most popular container pools we sell, for backyards, farms and holiday homes.
Why people choose a shipping container pool
- Much faster to install than an in-ground concrete pool
- Can sit above ground, in ground or part in ground
- Fixed price – fewer surprises during the build
- Can be moved if you sell up
- Clean, modern look

What you need to know before you buy
Every pool in Australia must be fenced to the standard in your state, and most need council approval or a building certifier. Sort that out early. You’ll also need crane access to lift the pool into place, a level base, and a licensed electrician for the pump and filter.
Container pool vs concrete pool
A concrete pool can take months, with digging, steel, spraying and tiling. A shipping container pool is built in a factory and arrives finished. That means less mess in your yard and a much shorter wait to swim. It also takes up less space, which suits smaller blocks and courtyards.

Can it go in ground?
Yes, it can go fully or partly in ground, or sit above ground with decking around it.
