17.5-25 Earthmoving Tyre

Description

This 17.5-25 earthmoving tyre suits wheel loaders, graders and other earthmoving gear running a 25-inch rim. It’s a bias-ply build – tough sidewalls and good value for loaders working in rough, rocky ground.

17.5-25 earthmoving tyre details

Which machines use a 17.5-25 earthmoving tyre?

• Compact and small wheel loaders
• Graders (check fitment)
• Farm and yard loaders

Before you order

Check the size on the sidewall of your current tyre and confirm the ply or load rating your machine needs. If you’re not sure, send us a photo of the sidewall and we’ll confirm the match.

Radial or bias ply?

Radial tyres have steel belts under the tread, so the tread stays flat on the ground. They run cooler, grip better and usually wear slower on hard, abrasive surfaces – the go-to for loaders that travel a lot. Bias ply tyres have layered nylon cords running at an angle. Their stiff sidewalls stand up well to cuts and punctures in rocky ground, and they cost less up front. If your machine mostly works in a small area on rough ground, bias ply is often the smarter buy. If it travels between stockpiles or works on concrete and bitumen, a radial usually pays for itself.

Fitting and safety

Large tyres are heavy and run at high pressure, so fitting should be done by a tyre fitter with the right cage and gear. Never inflate a damaged tyre, and replace valves when you fit new tyres.

Getting the most out of your tyres

Run the right pressure for the load, check for cuts and stones after work in rough ground, and rotate tyres where you can. A well looked after 17.5-25 earthmoving tyre will last noticeably longer, and your machine will ride better too.
